I started carpet fitting as part of a family business in 1986 then 10 years later formed "The Carpet Man". Over the years I have maintained a proven track record of effective problem solving and attention to detail and made it my goal to meet and exceed the expectations of every customer. I undertake jobs from domestic to commercial projects all carried out to the highest standards at competitive prices.
Products and Services
Carpet
We supply and fit our own carpets including carpet tiles and most products are available for next day delivery. Along with supplying all the accessories needed such as underlay, gripper and door bars we really can provide a complete package. However if you prefer to source your own materials we would be happy to offer you our professional "fit only" service. Estimates are at no cost but we can offer a measuring service for a small fee.
Cleaning
Our cleaning service uses the latest recycling machine along with environmentally friendly cleaning solutions. Also offered is a fast drying carpet buffing service for carpet maintenance. In addition, we provide hard floor cleaning for commercial vinyl and safety floors. With our knowledge of manufacturing and fitting you can be assured that our cleaning methods will be suited to your flooring. So whether it's in your home or office we can give it a clean.
Vinyl
Cushion floor or more widely know as "vinyl" can be supplied and fitted in a vast array of styles and colours. Most now have a "non slip rating" equivalent to that of commercial safety flooring so whether it's fitted in the kitchen, bathroom or hallway you can be sure footed. As commercial flooring installers you can rely on us to provide an excellent fitting service for your domestic vinyl.
Laminate
There is a wide range of laminate flooring available today from many retailers. Since we first started we have only supplied and fitted Quickstep flooring because, quite simply, it's the best. Quickstep is manufactured to the highest standards which is suitable for homes and businesses. Some customers still have their Quickstep flooring from when we first provided the service and they say it still looks as good today as when it was first laid.
Safety Flooring
Originally trained by Altro flooring in Hertfordshire we have worked for local councils, trades and private individuals. We have been installing safety flooring in various spaces from storerooms, nightclubs, pubs to full on wet rooms and commercial kitchens.
Commercial
A wide range of commercial carpet and flooring can be supplied and fitted. We have worked in offices, pubs, factories, as well as film sets and studio's. Trucks, film trailers for celebrities and even caravans have all be supplied and fitted.
Floor Preperation
On some occasions the sub floor needs some prep before flooring is fitted. That could be screed for a concrete floor to smooth it off or fitting plywood over floorboards. It's always good practice to make sure the base is adequate for your chosen floor covering.
Matting
Matting can be a very good idea to help stop the ingress of dirt ruining your new flooring. As well as functional they can also enhance an entrance way. Some mats can be fitted into matwells or just sectioned off with trims. The most popular matting we supply and fit is a natural coir which will help clean those mucky shoes on the way in.
